* Meridian Capital Group negotiating a new mortgage for $18 million on a 78,656 square foot office building on Sixth Avenue in Manhattan. The property will benefit from a rate of 6.625, with a 10 year term. David M. Rosenberg & Moshe Majeski, arranged financing for this transaction.

* A new mortgage of $7.5 million was placed by Meridian on a 98 unit, 6 story walk-up building on Orchard Street The name Orchard Street can refer to the following roads:

* A new mortgage was placed by Meridian for $4.95 million on a 5 story walk up Hotel/SRO Building on Broadway in Manhattan. The property will benefit from a rate of 7.25%, with a 10 year term. Aaron M. Birnbaum and Carol Shelby handled this transaction.

* Meridian arranged a new mortgage of $2.48 million on a 60 unit, 6 story building on Avenue T in Brooklyn, NY. The loan featured a rate of 4.99% and a 10 year term.

* A new mortgage of $1.1 million was placed by Meridian on an 8 story building with 20 apartments and 2 commercial units on South Street in New York City. The loan featured a rate of 6% and a 10 year term. The transaction was negotiated by Charles Grussgott.

M. Robert Goldman & Company, Inc. arranged a $4.2 million acquisition loan for a 36,555 SF office building on Hempstead Turnpike turnpike, road paid for partly or wholly by fees collected from travelers at tollgates. It derives its name from the hinged bar that prevented passage through such a gate until the toll was paid.
