Concert hall in New York, N.Y., U.S. It was endowed by the industrialist Andrew Carnegie at the insistence of the conductor Walter Damrosch (1862–1950).
 holds its annual fall event on Wednesday evening, November 10th. The business attire event begins at 6:30 p.m. with a private cocktail party in the Shorin Club Room. Then, by overhelming request, dinner will be served buffet-style so members and their guests can keep circulating. At 8 p.m., the concert by the Oslo Philharmonic The Oslo-Filharmonien (Oslo Philharmonic) is a symphony orchestra based in Oslo, Norway. The orchestra was founded in 1919, and has since 1977 had its home in the Oslo Concert Hall.  Orchestra begins, with Mariss Jansons Mariss Jansons (b. January 14, 1943) is a prominent Latvian conductor, the son of conductor Arvid Jansons. His mother, the singer Iraida Jansons, who was Jewish, gave birth to him in hiding in Riga, Latvia, after her father and brother were killed in the Riga ghetto.  conducting. At intermission, dessert and coffee is served to all Carnegie Hall Patrons.
