The ReadyCom Voice Server consists of three servers integrating ReadyCom's RVS 2000 software: the database server, which manages customer information; the administrative server, which communicates with the cellular switch; and the voice server, which handles the voice messaging functions.

Compatible with all leading cellular network switches, the RVS 2000 will enable cellular service providers to license its ReadyTalk(TM) two-way wireless voice messaging services without modifications to their infrastructure.

When someone calls a ReadyTalk user, the caller is prompted to leave a voice message, which is recorded and stored at the RVS 2000. The message is then forwarded over the cellular network and stored in the ReadyTalk handset. The handset alerts the user upon receipt of the message. The user can then listen to the message at his or her convenience, send a reply or forward it to another ReadyTalk user. RVS 2000 provides the ability to create a message and send it to another ReadyTalk user or group distribution list. Other features include real-time cellular calling and Emergency 911.
