ReSound Corporation Appoints Michael P. Downey as New Board Member.

Downey to the Company's Board of Directors. Downey, 51, most recently was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Nellcor Puritan Bennett Puritan Bennett has been a provider of respiratory products since 1913 originally as a medical gas supplier. In addition to critical care ventilation, Puritan Bennett provided medical devices for patients outside of the acute care environment. , a medical device company that develops and markets products that diagnose, monitor and treat respiratory disorders.

Downey is currently chairman of the board of Artisoft, Inc., a provider of networking, communications and computer telephony See CTI, VoIP and IP telephony.
