Raytheon Launches Annual U.S. Savings Bonds Campaign.

LEXINGTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 19, 1999--

Raytheon Company (NYSE:RTNA)(NYSE:RTNB) today announced the start of its annual U.S. Savings Bonds Campaign.

The campaign provides more than 100,000 Raytheon employees the opportunity to invest in savings bonds. More than 60% of Raytheon's employees enroll in this payroll savings program. The U.S. Department of the Treasury ranks Raytheon third on its National Honor Roll.

Raytheon has a strong tradition of involvement with the Savings Bonds Program. Earlier this year, the company received its ninth Golden Eagle Award from the U.S. Department of the Treasury for its 1998 campaign that produced more than 12,000 new or increased savers. Raytheon was one of only eight organizations nationwide to earn this coveted award.
