) has approved four senior executive promotions, effective immediately, Raytheon Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dennis J. Picard announced today. All are executives of Raytheon Systems Company (RSC RSC Royal Society of Chemistry (UK)

), the defense and government electronics unit of Raytheon Company.

Promoted to Raytheon senior vice president is Frank S. Marchilena, an RSC executive vice president and general manager of the Command, Control, Communication and Information (C3I C3I Command, Control, Communications & Intelligence (US DoD)

) segment, Marlborough, Mass. Christine Davis, Glenn Davis, Glenn (Woodward) “Junior” (1924–  ) football player; born in Burbank, Calif. An exceptionally fast halfback, he and fullback “Doc” Blanchard led Army to undefeated seasons (1944–45). He won the 1946 Heisman Trophy.  Hood, and Philip T. LePore were each named Raytheon vice presidents.

Davis is an RSC executive vice president and general manager of the Sensors and Electronic Systems segment, El Segundo El Segundo (ĕl sēgŭn`dō), industrial city (1990 pop. 15,223), Los Angeles co., S Calif., on Santa Monica Bay; inc. 1917. Its products include navigation and computer systems, aircraft parts, office machines, telephone apparatus, and , Calif. Hood is an RSC senior vice president and general manager of the Aircraft Integration Systems segment, Waco, Texas. LePore is an RSC executive vice president and general manager of the Training and Services segment, Vienna, Va.

In his previous company assignment, Marchilena served as general manager of the Command, Control and Communication Systems (C3) segment before the incorporation of RSC's Intelligence and Information activities with C3. Prior to that, he was general manager of the Training and Services segment. Before the establishment of RSC in December, 1997, he was the assistant general manager of Raytheon Electronic Systems where he was responsible for overseeing the division's engineering and manufacturing operations as well as overall performance of subsidiaries in Canada and the United Kingdom. He earlier served as manager, Patriot International Programs.

Prior to her current assignment, Davis was deputy general manager of RSC's Sensors and Electronic Systems segment. Before RSC was established, she was a senior vice president of Raytheon TI Systems and manager of the Electronic Systems Division where she was responsible for an array of products, including airborne and surface electro-optics, ocean surveillance radar, active electronically scanned array An Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA), also known as active phased array radar is a type of radar whose transmitter and receiver functions are composed of numerous small transmit/receive (T/R) modules.  radar and surveillance devices.

Hood previously served as vice president and general manager of RSC's Waco Operations and earlier was a group vice president for Chrysler Technologies Airborne Systems, which was later acquired by Raytheon Company.

Prior to the creation of RSC, LePore was a vice president of Hughes Electronics and president of Hughes Technical Services Company.
