Raytheon Awarded U.S. Army Live Training Contract Valued at $414 Million.

) has been awarded a contract potentially worth $414 million by the U.S. Army Simulation Training and Instrumentation Command (STRICOM STRICOM Simulation Training and Instrumentation Command
STRICOM Simulation, Training & Instrumentation Command (US Army) 
) to provide life cycle contractor support for tactical engagement, instrumentation and range training devices and systems for the Live Training Program.

Under this eight-year award, which includes a one-year base period followed by seven one-year options, Raytheon will provide operation and maintenance, logistics and engineering and software support of instrumentation, scoring systems and other equipment. Raytheon will also provide training analysis and feedback, scenario development operations, operation reviews and battlefield effects. Work will be performed at Fort Irwin, Calif.; Fort Polk Fort Polk, U.S. army post, 200,000 acres (80,937 hectares), SW La.; est. 1941 and named for the Rev. Leonidas Polk. It is a major army warm-weather training center. , La.; Fort Hood, Texas; and Hohenfels and Grafenwoehr, Germany; and at 35 field sites worldwide.

Raytheon also provides life cycle contractor support services to STRICOM at sites worldwide for the family of Battlefield Mobility/Target Acquisition training devices.
