Raven Industries, Sioux Falls, S.D., has acquired the GPS technology from StarLink Incorporated, Austin, Texas.
Raven raven, common name for the largest member of the family Corvidae (crow family), ranging throughout the arctic and temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. The raven, Corvus corax, is a glossy black scavenging bird about 26 in. Industries, Sioux Falls Sioux Falls, city (1990 pop. 100,814), seat of Minnehaha co., SE S.Dak., on the Big Sioux River; settled 1856, inc. as a village 1877, as a city 1883. Settlers abandoned the site in 1862 because of Native American raids, but with the establishment (1865) of Fort , S.D., has acquired the GPS technology from StarLink Incorporated, Austin Austin.

The commercial and industrial center of a rich farm region, it is noted as home to the Hormel meatpacking company, whose Spam Town museum , Texas. The acquisition expands Raven's commitment to precision agriculture and the initiative to provide new technology-driven products that fit the needs of the marketplace. The StarLink facility in Austin, Texas, will remain open and will be integrated into Raven's Flow Controls Division.
