Raudin Announces Preliminary Results in Copper-Silver on its Mont-Alexandre Project in Gaspe.MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 19, 1997--RAUDIN EXPLORATION(ME RAU ) RAUDIN Exploration Inc. is proud to announce the preliminary results in copper-silver mineralizations following the digging of trenches on surface occurrences on the Vondenbleu property from the Mont-Alexandre project in Gaspe. Two mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. To convert to a mineral substance; petrify. 2. To transform a metal into a mineral by oxidation. 3. zones, each of several hundreds of metres long, were discovered by trenches dug at regular intervals. Results received to date from Chimitec's laboratory in Val d'Or, cover the first trench of each zone. The zone associated to the main occurrence has been followed over more than 300 metres. Its western extension is limited by a transversal fault. The results come from the most western trench. A channel sampling made accross volcanic sandstones and conglomerates layers mineralized with disseminated chalcosine and bornite (copper sulphides) has given grades up to 2.2 percent Cu and 4.6 g/t Ag over 1.5 metre. The whole mineralized zone has an average of 1.63 percent Cu and 3.55 g/t Ag over 5.40 metres. These values are comparible to the old copper mines from Michigan which were in production from 1847 to 1994. The second mineralized zone is situated 500 metres to the East. Chalcosine mineralisation in this place is found in the cement which binds fragments of marborized algal algal pertaining to or caused by algae. algal infection is very rare but systemic and udder infections are recorded. In 1994, when this occurrence was discovered, the first sampling had given grades varying from 0.1 percent Cu to 2.1 percent Cu and 16.1 g/t Ag over 3 metres. The new trench located 50 metres northwestward north·west·ward adv. & adj. Toward, to, or in the northwest. n. Three other trenches dug across this zone show the thickening of the mineralization Mineralization The process by which the body uses minerals to build bone structure. As soon as the trenching program is over, RAUDIN will mobilize drill rigs in order to investigate at depth the mineralized zones.
