Rapra Technology hosts TPE 2005.

Rapra Technology will hold its 8th International Conference on Thermoplastic Elastomers--TPE 2005 at the Grand Hotel Esplanade Grand Hotel “Esplanade” once stood on Berlin’s busy transport and nightlife hub Potsdamer Platz. During its colourful and turbulent history it went from being one of the German capital’s most luxurious and celebrated hotels to a bombed-out ruin lost in the  in Berlin, Germany, September 14-15.

TPEs continue to show healthy growth compared with most other polymeric materials, due to their unique combination of elastomeric properties with thermoplastic processability and recyclability, according to Rapra. TPE TPE Thermoplastic Elastomer

2005, an international conference for the thermoplastic elastomers industry, will highlight developments in materials, applications and processing.

Applications for TPEs will be featured, including such examples as automotive airbag covers and glass run channels, sports applications and extruded products.

There will also be presentations on the use of TPEs in recycling polymer products such as tires and other end-of-life vehicle components. Processing developments will focus on adhesion, cellular TPE, multi-component molding and product design.

This year's International Conference on Thermoplastic Elastomers will feature a record number of papers from experts on TPE materials, processing and applications. Opportunities will be present for attendees to network with experts in the field and ask questions about the most suitable technology for specific businesses.
