Randall Terry converts.


St. Augustine, FLA -- Widely known pro-life activist and Evangelical Christian, Randall Terry, has become a Catholic. Between 1987 and 1994 Randall Terry was the leader of North America's largest peaceful civil disobedience civil disobedience, refusal to obey a law or follow a policy believed to be unjust. Practitioners of civil disobediance basing their actions on moral right and usually employ the nonviolent technique of passive resistance in order to bring wider attention to the injustice. Risking punishment, such as violent retaliatory acts or imprisonment, they attempt to bring about changes in the law. movement, Operation Rescue. He organised many peaceful protests such as sit-ins and blockades of abortion "clinics," being arrested more than 40 times for his efforts.

Terry, along with his second wife and three sons, was received into the Church on Holy Thursday Holy Thursday: see Ascension., 2006. He has elected to become a Catholic without participating in the Holy Eucharist until the annulment of his first marriage is finalized.

Terry is now President of the Society for Truth and Justice and is running for a seat in the Florida Senate (Nat. Cath. Reg., May 17, 2006).
