Rand Ballard of MedAssets to Lead Meals on Wheels Association of America Foundation.


WASHINGTON -- Meals On Wheels n. 1. A program that delivers hot meals to persons, such as the elderly or disabled, who are confined to their homes and unable to cook for themselves; also, the meals thus delivered.  of MedAssets, Inc., has been elected to serve as the Chairman of the MOWAA Foundation (MOWAAF) Board. In this role, Mr. Ballard will supervise all of the business and developmental functions of the MOWAAF. Additionally, he will ensure that all of the orders and resolutions of the Board of Directors are implemented and will play a pivotal role in managing the activities of the Foundation.

The mission of the MOWAAF is to help MOWAA eradicate hunger and malnutrition among America's seniors and others in need. The Foundation's goals are to increase public awareness, research, education, fundraising and community involvement in addressing this issue. The Foundation's key initiatives include March for Meals, a national public awareness campaign to stop senior hunger, and the development of the National Center for Nutrition Leadership, a training center for all research and education efforts to fight hunger and malnutrition.
