Ramp Networks Joins Paradyne's Hotwire Connected Program to Deliver Standards-Based DSL Interoperability.

Leading broadband network access innovator Paradyne Networks Inc. (Nasdaq: PDYN) and Ramp Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: RAMP), a leading provider of easy-to-use, shared Internet access devices, today announced that Ramp Networks has joined Paradyne's Hotwire Connected (TM) program.

The Hotwire Connected program is designed to help Service Providers deploy DSL services to a broader range of customers. The program enables third-party DSL voice gateway and customer premises equipment to interoperate with Paradyne's family of Hotwire DSLAM products, including the Hotwire GranDSLAM, which began shipping in November 1999.

About the WebRamp 600i

The WebRamp 600i is specifically designed to meet the needs of the small office environment for high-bandwidth Internet-based communications and applications. It is the first ADSL customer premise equipment with a high performance RISC processor to support both full-rate asymmetric DSL and G.lite standards and handle security protocols such as IPSec and Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol See PPTP.
