Rallies organized nationwide.

As the show fell in Sturgeon sturgeon, primitive fish of the northern regions of Europe, Asia, and North America. Unlike evolutionarily advanced fishes, it has a fine-grained hide, with very reduced scalation, a mostly cartilaginous skeleton, upturned tail fins, and a mouth set well back on the  Falls, the people of the community marched down the streets chanting and shouting all the way to the gates of the closed Weyerhaeuser mill. Over 100 men, women, children and even their dogs participated in the rally.

"The main point of this rally is to send Weyerhaeuser a message," said Denis Denis, king of Portugal: see Diniz.  Senecal, president of local 7135 of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada See also Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol SCEP

. "They will get the message."

As the people marched down the streets and to the gates, they made their message loud and clear; "Free Sturgeon Falls" and "Free the mill" were repeated over and over again.

"(The company) does not care about the people or the communities of the North," claimed Peter Lindsay Peter John Lindsay (born 4 May 1944), Australian politician, has been a Liberal Party of Australia member of the Australian House of Representatives since March 1996, representing the Division of Herbert, Queensland. , an electrician with the mill since 1983.

Rallies took place simultaneously across Canada Across Canada was an afternoon program that formerly aired on The Weather Network. The segment ran from early 1999 until mid 2002. The show ran from 3:00PM ET until 7:00 PM ET.  at other Weyerhaeuser mills. Information pickets were set up in New Brunswick, Vancouver, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Northern Ontario on Dec. 6.

a supplement severance for employees, to at least show a little compassion," says Senecal. "The average age in this mill is 47, and some guys have 20 years service for this company."

The union also wants Weyerhaeuser to free Sturgeon Falls and the mill. Senecal and the workers would like to take a chance at running the mill with another product.

"If we can make a go at it with something else that is fine, and if not, let us fall on our faces on our own."

Senecal and the workers are convinced there is still a future with the mill. The union is trying to get a consultant in to look at the machinery and see what the market really is like. The workers dispute the company's claim the mill is outdated. The 0CC equipment is nine years old and it is all computerized. "The only equipment that is 100 years old is the powerhouse system and that is what they are going to keep running," said Senecal.

In order to find potential investors and make another product, the union recognizes the fact they would need Weyerhaeuser's cooperation, he said.
