So you guys dated?

Caithlin: Kyle and I dated for six years.

Really?. And things are still cool?

Kyle: Better now, actually.

C: We always crack people up who travel with us, because we talk to each other the way we would never talk to anyone else.

K: Like, "I will cut your fucking face!"

Bill: Really inspiring.

K: You walk outside, and everything is art there. Somebody's written on everything, and everything is an exhibition. Plus, every day you get out of bed and a voice says, "$900 due in 28 days, fucker fuck·er
n. Vulgar Slang
1. A despised person.

2. One that engages in sexual intercourse.

Noun 1.
!" It's like, off you go. You better get to working on something.

Do you have day jobs?

K: We're at work right now.

Where do you skate there?

K: I really like the park out in Bay Ridge. The Skateshop KC/DC has a great mini-ramp; you pay 30 dollars, and you can skate anytime you want all year. Otherwise, I just like skating down the street or in obvious places like Union Square and down Broadway at 5:00, in and out of traffic. Shit like that is so fun.

If you could go back in time and play your instrument in any band from the past, who would it be?

C: I'd be in the kind of rock band you'd never imagine a woman in, like AC/DC AC/DC
adj. Slang

. If they'd let me. There were rules back then or something, like, "Girls in the back of the bus."

K: You know that band Lilys? They have this record called Eccsame the Photon Band. It's the only down-tempo space rock record they did, and the stories you hear about them recording it are really great. I would have liked to have played on those sessions.

B: This is a tough one; there's a dozen different people or bands I would love to have played with. Probably The Velvet Underground. If I could have been Moe Tucker in 1965, it would have been amazing.

K: So that John Cole John Cole may refer to the following people:
  • John Cole (bobsleigh), who competed for the United States.
  • John Cole (journalist), from the United Kingdom.
  • John Cole (businessman), from Australia.

B: Exactly. Take my cymbals cymbals (sĭm`bəlz), percussion instruments of ancient Asian origin. They consist of a pair of slightly concave metal plates which produce a vibrant sound of indeterminate pitch.  away from me ...

What tape gets you hyped when you're on the road?

K: For two years we listened to a San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  band, Seventeen Queen, literally before every show. It was Vue's original band that sounded like The Cure.

B: It was had voodoo if we didn't listen to it.

What happened the night you didn't listen to it?

C: I drove off the road and almost killed everyone; black ice.

So I hear in New York that friendster[R] is all the rage General Public's All the Rage was released in 1984 by I.R.S. Records. Track listing
  1. "Hot You're Cool"
  2. "Tenderness"
  3. "Anxious"
  4. "Never You Done That"
  5. "Burning Bright"
  6. "As a Matter of Fact"
  7. "Are You Leading Me On?"
  8. "Day-to-Day"
; are you guys up on that stuff?

C: I've never done it.

B: I'm addicted. It's a really good way to keep in touch with your friends and find people from your past who you may or may not want to find. It's pretty cool.

K: I'm waiting until my record's mixed, 'cause I don't want any distractions, I already get too much email. So I'm going to wait until the record's mixed, and then I'll sign up.

B: I used to waste so much time on email, now I just waste it all on friendster[R].

Have any fans found you on there?

B: Yeah, people pretty much write on a daily basis. I always write back. I've only gotten a handful of creepy ones.

Ever gone out with anyone on it?

B: No. I have a girlfriend.

So you're "Just Here To Help"?

B: Exactly: "In A Relationship." She has a strong presence on my page. Friendster's amazing. I encourage all friends to use it.

Is there anything you want to say to the Thrasher thrasher: see mimic thrush.

K: Shred on.

B: Seriously, I never thought I'd be in Thrasher.

K: Yeah, and we made it in through the back door; we didn't even have to shred that hard.

C: I didn't shred at all.

B: I stopped shredding about 12 years ago, and I finally got in ...

C: My little brother's gonna be wicked psyched.

K: Shout out to 5 Boro and Zoo York for hooking me up, Bobby Bird in Chicago for skating with me, Andreas and the NY kids.
