Rafael Vinoly announces latest projects.


Rafael Vinoly Architects has announced several commissions, groundbreakings and most recently completed projects.

The company has been commissioned to design the 1,000-unit residential hotel tower with retail podium as part of MGM Mirage CityCenter, Las Vegas, Nevada.

In May 2005, RVA RVA rabies vaccine adsorbed; see rabies vaccine, under vaccine.  won a competition to prepare a master plan for the redevelopment of Oxford University's Radcliffe Infirmary site, a 10.5-acre area in the center of Oxford, England. The firm is also designing a new building for the Institute of Mathematics.

RVA is currently conducting programming and site selection study for Cornell University for a new 400,000 s/f building for the Computing and Information Science and College of Engineering Faculties in Ithaca, NY. The new facility will contain offices, classrooms, auditoria, instructional and research laboratories, and collaborative spaces over the next ten to twenty years.

Rafael Vinoly Architects is designing a new hospital pavilion for the University of Chicago Hospitals The University of Chicago Hospitals form a major center for medical care and research in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. They are affiliated with and run by the University of Chicago, and serve as teaching hospitals for students of the institution's Pritzker . The new project will help to implement the Hospitals' "Vision 2010."

At Penn State Life Sciences, University Park, Pennsylvania, the firm is designing the second Vinoly building on the Penn State University campus. The first was the School of Information Sciences and Technology building which was opened on 2004.

And, at University of Arizona (body, education) University of Arizona - The University was founded in 1885 as a Land Grant institution with a three-fold mission of teaching, research and public service.  Science Center, Tucson, Arizona, schematic design is underway for a 166,000-square-foot interactive learning center in downtown Tucson. The project houses over 20,000 net square feet of exhibit spaces in a building spanning Interstate 10 and the Santa Cruz River

At Cleveland Museum of Art Located in the University Circle neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio, the internationally renowned Cleveland Museum of Art has a permanent collectionof more than 40,000 objects in 70 galleries. , Cleveland, Ohio, construction started on a 590,000 s/f expansion to the Cleveland Museum of Art. Rafael Vinoly Architects was awarded this design commission via an international design competition.
