The agency instructed Source One to investigate the deviations from the performance standard to determine if the deviations were caused by improper assembly or installation, in which case the company is required to either repair the system, replace it or refund the cost. However, if Source One determines the deviations were caused by the factory-based manufacturer, notification must be sent to the manufacturer; and if Source One determines the deviations are directly attributable to user abuse or lack of maintenance, the company must submit supporting evidence to FDA, the warning letter concluded.
