 Co. has narrowed the field of candidates to buy its ABC radio stations The ABC operates 46 local radio stations, in addition to four national networks and international service Radio Australia. In addition, DiG Radio launched on digital platforms in 2002, currently offering three separate stations.  to three, which should pave the way for a sale of the unit before the end of the year, the Financial Times reported. The remaining bidders are Entercom Communications Corp., Cumulus Media Inc. and private equity group Kohlberg Kravis Roberts Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co (commonly referred to as KKR) is a New York City-based private equity firm that focuses primarily on late-stage leveraged buyouts. It was founded in 1976 by Jerome Kohlberg, Jr., and cousins Henry Kravis and George R.  & Co. Analysts have said the 72 stations could be sold for between $2 billion and $3 billion, the paper said.
