Radiant developed the latest addition to its industry-leading family of self-service kiosk solutions in response to cinema operators' desire to drive revenue opportunities at the kiosk and improve guest service by eliminating frustrating frus·trate

"The Outdoor Ticketing Kiosk takes self-service benefits of speed and convenience to the next level," said Chris Lybeer, president of the Radiant Entertainment Division. "It enables operators to place kiosks where they reach more patrons and add the most value. In initial pilots, patrons are using the outdoor kiosks extensively. Specifically, outdoor kiosks are increasing the overall kiosk usage at the theatre, and patrons are using the outdoor version at a rate twice that of kiosks in the lobby."

Consistent with Radiant's traditional approach to hardware -- focused innovation for non-stop sales reliability in the harshest retail environments -- the Radiant Outdoor Ticketing Kiosk is designed from the ground up for dependable outdoor performance for cinemas. The kiosk's enclosure, touch screen, and electronics are designed for durability and usability, even with direct exposure of the kiosk to sun, rain, and snow. Easy on-site service and management are enabled by quick-replace hardware, a ticket storage area, and LED indicators and on-screen on·screen or on-screen

The kiosk is also extremely versatile. It can be configured for a variety of floor and wall-mounted situations, accommodates numerous peripherals for customization, and features wireless capability that enables easier, less costly, and more flexible installations. The unit also features unique bezel The front cover of a desktop or tower computer case. "Radiant is helping leading cinemas change the patron experience with products that incorporate the leading-edge performance found in the Intel Pentium(R) M processor," said Tom Steenman, general manager, Embedded Intel Architecture Division. "By utilizing open Embedded Intel Architecture and wireless capability in its ticketing kiosks, Radiant enables operators to innovate with greater investment protection and flexibility."
