:RACK), a leading provider of servers and storage products for large-scale data centers, today announced the official appointment of James Wheat as Chief Financial Officer. Wheat joined the company in April and served in an interim capacity while transitioning with Rackable Systems' former CFO See Chief Financial Officer. , Madhu Ranganathan. Wheat is now the full time CFO, and a member of the executive management team. He reports directly to CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  Mark Barrenechea.

Wheat has a long history of executive and financial leadership within prominent public and private technology organizations. Prior to joining Rackable Systems in April of 2008, Wheat served as Vice President and Corporate Controller at Lam Research. Wheat has also held senior financial management positions at Asyst Technology, Inc., Sybase, Inc., TeleVideo, Sunterra Corporation, Raychem Corporation, Core-Mark International, Spectra-Physics and Honeywell International, Inc.
