Rackable Systems Announces Availability of New Servers Based on AMD Opteron(TM) Processor Models 2220 and 8220.


Newest AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, www.amd.com) A major manufacturer of semiconductor devices including x86-compatible CPUs, embedded processors, flash memories, programmable logic devices and networking chips.  Socket F Socket F, is a CPU socket designed by AMD for its Opteron line of CPUs. The socket has 1207 pins, and was released on August 15 2006[1].
