Race day recipe.


Here's a great breakfast for race day:

You Need:

1 slice whole wheat bread wheat bread
n.
A bread made from a mixture of white and whole-wheat flours.
 

1 egg (or 1/4 cup egg substitute)

Bowl

Pepper

Skillet

Wooden Spoon

1 slice skim mozzarella moz·za·rel·la  
n.
A mild white Italian cheese that has a rubbery texture and is often eaten melted, as on pizza.

 cheese

You Do:

1. Toast the slice of bread.

2. Crack the egg into a bowl. Throw away the shell.

3. Add pepper if desired. Slightly beat the egg.

4. Ask an adult to heat a skillet to medium. Grease with one teaspoon tea·spoon

5. With adult's help, pour in egg mixture. Scramble it till the egg no longer runs but BEFORE it is dry.

6. Remove the egg from the skillet. Spoon it onto the toast.

7. Put a cheese slice over the egg.

8. Place the toast, egg, and cheese back into the skillet. Cover.

9. Cook for one minute, then remove it all with a spatula spatula /spat·u·la/ (spach´u-lah) [L.]
