The Palmdale restaurant was among roughly 90 Famous Dave's locations nationwide raising money that day for the organization Share Our Strength in what the chain called the world's biggest backyard barbecue.

From grills and tables set up outside, the restaurant sold $5 barbecue sparerib meals, of which half the price went to Share Our Strength.
