RUNNERS READY FOR MARATHON SIXTH ANNUAL CONTEST SET FOR NOV. 5.Byline: Daily News SANTA CLARITA Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country, -- For the sixth year, Parkway Supercenter auto dealership in Valencia will be the title sponsor for Santa Clarita's marathon. The city will hold the big race Nov. 5 with events including the full marathon, a half-marathon, 5K Run/Walk and Kid K run. Races begin at 7 a.m. except for the Kid K, which starts at 8:30 a.m. The marathon starts at the Valencia Town Center and will follow a looped route that includes 26.2 miles of roadways, paved pave tr.v. paved, pav·ing, paves 1. To cover with a pavement. 2. To cover uniformly, as if with pavement. 3. To be or compose the pavement of. and city trails and paseos. A Health and Fitness Expo will be held in conjunction with the marathon from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 4 in the Hyatt Valencia Grand Ballroom. Display booths will feature sponsors and health and fitness products. Participants in the marathon and half-marathon can pick up their official bib bib - BibTeX numbers, T-shirts, timing chips and goodie good·ie n. Variant of goody1. bags at the expo.
