RUNNERS GEARING UP FOR DEVONSHIRE DASH.

Hundreds of participants are expected to enter the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Police Department's Devonshire Division's sixth annual race Sunday at Cal State Northridge.

The Devonshire Dash event is sponsored by the Police Activity League Supporters and the Supporters of Law Enforcement in Devonshire, two community-based nonprofit organizations Nonprofit Organization

An association that is given tax-free status. Donations to a non-profit organization are often tax deductible as well.

The race will include a 5 kilometer kilometer

 and 10K runs and a 5K walk. The top three runners in each category will receive awards.

The race will start and end at the corner of Lassen Street and Lindley Avenue, and will go around the perimeter of Cal State Northridge, said Ruben Lopez, community relations 1. The relationship between military and civilian communities.

The 5K run and the 5K walk will start at 8 a.m. The 10K run will start at 8:20 a.m.

This year about 1,500 people are expected to enter, said Lopez, who has organized all previous events.

Registration will start at 7 a.m. Sunday. The fee is $10 for students, seniors and the disabled, $20 for all others.
