The 22nd annual Memorial Torch Run, honoring law enforcement officers slain in the line of duty In the Line of Duty may refer to:

, will move through the Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  on Saturday night, and local runners are invited to participate.

Each sheriff's station in the county is responsible for carrying the torch on a five-mile leg of the course.

Residents who want to run along with deputies from the Santa Clarita station should meet at 6 p.m. Saturday at the junction of the Golden State Freeway The Golden State Freeway is a north-south freeway running through Kern County and Los Angeles County, California. Originally built as U.S. Highway 99, it was re-signed as Interstate 5 in 1964.  and Balboa Boulevard. The torch will be passed there, and carried through town to the Sierra Highway and Antelope Valley Freeway interchange, where it will be turned over to runners from the Antelope Valley.

``We keep the pace to a slow jog to encourage more people to run, and because it's a memorial run to honor the slain officers, not a race,'' said Sgt. Bruce Sonnenblick of the Santa Clarita sheriff's station.
