RTC chooses CPA's for hotel work

Pannell Kerr Forster, the national CPA and consulting firm, has just been awarded a contract by the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) to evaluate hotels, motels, resorts, and recreation properties across the United States.

John L. Norman Jr., partner in charge of PKF's Financial Services Group, estimated that the hospitality property holdings of the RTC are in the billion of dollars.

Pannell Kerr Forster is one of several certified public accounting firms which has been involved with the RTC since the agency's inception. Over the past 18 months, the firm has performed numerous valuations of real estate properties. It has also performed asset valuation of failed institutions and has assisted in the closing and sale of these institutions under two other national contracts.
