RTA SERVICE CHANGES BECOME EFFECTIVE MARCH 14

 CLEVELAND, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective March 14, RTA is eliminating three bus routes, making service changes or improvements on 27 other routes, and cutting 12 Sunday/Holiday routes.
 The No. 42 Greater Northern-Bay Village, the No. 54 Pleasant Valley and the No. 89 Columbia-Fitch bus routes are being eliminated. NOTE: The elimination of the No. 62 Babbitt-Chardon route has been postponed.
 Saturday service is being cut on the No. 44 Snow-Rockside and in Lake County on the No. 43 Willowick.
 Sunday/Holiday service is being eliminated on the following 12 routes: No. 5 (Chagrin), No. 7 (Monticello), No. 18 (Dennison-Harvard), No. 32 (Fairmount), No. 33 (Central), No. 34 (East 200-Green), No. 37 (East 185-Taylor), No. 44 (Snow-Rockside), No. 68 (Bagley-Grantwood), No. 76 (Broadway-Turney), No. 82 (West 117-Memphis), No. 83 (West 130).
 Twelve other routes are being modified to improve efficiency of service.
 Service frequency is being changed on 13 other routes, including two routes which serve Lake County residents. Both are being modified to provide only rush hour service and costs are being shared with LakeTran. No. 43F Willowick will operate five morning and five afternoon trips between downtown Cleveland and East 314 St. and Willowick. Weekday midday service and Saturday service are being eliminated. No. 49F Wickliffe will operate two morning and two afternoon trips between downtown Cleveland and Wickliffe.
 On the Blue Line rail service, the last out-bound trip at 12:15 a.m. is being eliminated from Tower City to Van Aken-Warrensville as is the 12:45 a.m. trip from Van Aken-Warrensville to Tower City. The 11:45 p.m. trip from Van Aken will end at Shaker Square. These changes will be in effect seven days a week.
 Rail service on the Red Line is not affected.
