RSA helps firm distribute low-cost CO detectors.


Now that property owners will be required by law to install carbon monoxide carbon monoxide, chemical compound, CO, a colorless, odorless, tasteless, extremely poisonous gas that is less dense than air under ordinary conditions. The new law requires owners to install CO detectors in all New York City apartments in buildings heated by a furnace or boiler. The alarms must be installed within 15 feet of rooms that are lawfully utilized by occupants for sleeping. Depending on the configuration of an apartment, dwellings may require multiple CO detectors.
