OCTOBER 20-21

National Training Conference on Rehabilitation Education

The National Training Conference on Rehabilitation Education, "Meeting Challenges in Rehabilitation Education and Practice," sponsored jointly by the National Council of Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) and the Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR CSAVR Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation ) will be held at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia. RSA Commissioner Joanne Wilson will give the keynote address on "Linking Quality Services to Consumers and the Professional Rehabilitation Counselor." Breakout group sessions during the two-day conference will include the following topics:

Consortium of Administrators in Native American Rehabilitation Conference

The Annual Consortium of Administrators in Native American Rehabilitation (CANAR) conference, sponsored by Western Washington University Western Washington UniversityWWU or Western) is one of six state-funded, four-year universities of higher education in the U.S. state of Washington. It is located in Bellingham and offers bachelor's and master's degrees. , CANAR and RSA Regional Office X, will be held at the Red Lion Hotel on Fifth Avenue, Seattle, Wash. RSA staff will provide presentations with Dr. Jerry Fischer of the University of Idaho The university was formed by the territorial legislature of Idaho on January 30, 1889, and opened its doors on October 3, 1892 with an initial class of 40 students. The first graduating class in 1896 contained two men and two women. .

The mission of CANAR is to serve as an avenue for collaboration and cooperation between administrators of rehabilitation projects serving Native American persons with disabilities, to increase and enhance the quality of services, resulting in positive outcomes for Native American persons with disabilities.
