``I've already got my dorm assignment. I'm kind of scared, but I think I'll survive,'' she said.

Zagrzejewski's family moved to Simi Valley Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  in 1992, when her father, who is director of training for Farmer's Insurance Group, was transferred from the Midwest. ``It was really great. It enabled me to live in a lot of different places. I never got bored. There were always new opportunities,'' she said.

Zagrzejewski generally praised the Royal High teaching staff, but saved special thanks for her government teacher, Mike Maddox.

``He was very inspirational. He helped me realize how much I loved political science,'' she said.

With her sports background, Zagrzejewski is particularly excited that the graduation ceremony at 6 p.m. Tuesday will inaugurate in·au·gu·rate

Though Zagrzejewski is excited about UCLA, she said she will miss her teachers and, in general, the camaraderie at Royal High School.

``Mostly I'll miss going to the sports events and cheering on all my friends,'' she said.
