--Cleveland 2, North Hollywood 1: The host Cavaliers (3-2) got three hits from Melissa Guzman, two hits from Laura Demetrion and pulled out a nonleague victory over the Huskies (2-4) when Karla Lemus' pop-up single scored Katherine Viray from second base in the seventh inning.

--Calabasas 8, Santa Clara 0: Shelly Madick struck out 15 and Krystle Chamberlain went 4 for 4 as the Coyotes (2-4-1, 2-0) won at Santa Clara (0-2 in league.
