ROY ROGERS EXPANDS ROASTED CHICKEN CHAINWIDE

LINTHICUM, Md., Jan. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy Rogers Restaurants have expanded the introduction of Roasted Chicken to the chain's 700 restaurants. The new product, Roy's Roasters(TM) was recently introduced in the Washington D.C., Baltimore and Salisbury, Md. locations in early November.
In a recent independent taste test that was conducted by several food editors in the Washington area, Roy's Roasters was among the best roasted chicken products offered by fast food chains.
General Manager, Dave Desz, of Roy Rogers expressed the positive feedback from the customers in the New York area. "Store traffic has increased significantly," said Desz. "Customers are always responsive to great-tasting, new products that add a bit of variety to the menu."
"We are extremely excited about the addition of Roy's Roasters," said Ron Powell, President of Roy Rogers. "Roasted chicken is a natural addition to the Roy's menu considering the chain's long-term, successful track record with Roy's Recipe Fried Chicken."
"Roy's Roasters represents one of the many products and innovative changes currently being developed," said Sharon Fogg, Vice President of Marketing for Roy Rogers. "Chicken has played a substantial role in our ability to offer our customers a wider variety of quality foods to select from during the dinner
hours. Roy's Roasters further provides us with a unique opportunity to appeal to the increasing number of working women in providing dinner for the family in today's fast-paced environment."
The Roy Rogers Restaurant chain, with over 675 locations, is owned by Hardee's Food Systems, Inc. Headquartered in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Hardee's operates a system of over 4,000 company and franchise restaurants in 40 states and 10 foreign countries.
