ROUT AT HOME RENEWS GALAXY GALAXY 3, DALLAS 0.

Byline: Dave Melendi Staff Writer

CARSON - Everything was aligned properly Saturday night for the Galaxy to end its three-game winless streak and earn its third victory in 14 matches this season.

And, of course, the Galaxy was at Home Depot The Home Depot (NYSE: HD) is an American retailer of home improvement and construction products and services.

product, scored on a cross from Alejandro Moreno in the 20th minute and the Galaxy went on to rout the Burn 3-0 in front of 18,165.

Alex Pineda Chacon sent the ball out wide to Moreno, whose cross grazed the head of teammate Chris Albright before finding the left foot of Victorine in the box. Victorine's blast deflected off Burn goalkeeper D.J. Countess and into the net for his second goal of the season. Albright was credited with an assist on the play.

While Albright was lucky to get his first point of the night, he earned his next two, beating Countess, who played one season for UCLA in 2000, in the 59th minute to put the Galaxy ahead 2-0.

``I was screaming for it because I was wide open, but Carlos (Ruiz) was battling with somebody,'' Albright said. ``I think it was kind of a misclearing, and it just rolled out and I tried to get it on net.''

The goal was Albright's third, and they have all come in the Galaxy's past two games. He scored twice in the second half at Colorado on Wednesday night to lead the Galaxy, which trailed 2-0 at the half, to a tie.

Albright attributed his newfound scoring touch to playing more freely.

``A little bit of a realization ... that I just need to play with a little more confidence and go at people a little more,'' he said. ``If I lose the ball once, I got 10 more tries just to make it up so it's not that important. A little more reckless abandon out there.''

Ruiz scored his team-leading seventh goal of the year on a penalty kick in the 62nd minute after Burn defender Ryan Suarez pulled down Chacon in the box.

For a night, the Galaxy (3-5-6, 15 points) looked like defending champion, even if - like the Galaxy - the Burn (2-6-3, nine points) haven't won on the road this season.

Galaxy coach Sigi Schmid thought the team dominated play for all but a few stretches early in each half.

``I think with all the injuries we've gone through, with everything on the road, things like that ... the team is happy to be at home,'' he said.

``We played better soccer tonight. As our confidence grows, it gets easier and easier to play.''
