Gianandrea Marcaccini was 5 for 5 on 3-point shots in the first half and finished with 16 points to help Valley College (13-7) beat visiting Oxnard 80-61 in a Western State Conference men's basketball game Saturday night.

Leon Brisport finished with 17 points for the Monarchs, who opened a 42-26 halftime lead over the Condors (6-10, 1-2).

Marcaccini, a freshman from Crespi High, kept bombing away from the baseline in the first half.

Moorpark 85, Glendale 62: Corey Phillips scored 35 points, hitting 14 of 16 shots from the field, to lead the Raiders (10-6, 4-1) to a WSC interdivisional victory over host Glendale.
