Baptist fans have been waiting for him to prove he can play with the big boys. On Saturday night, Law showed everyone what he's capable of doing. In the championship game of the L.A. Baptist tournament, against a Paraclete team that had three players 6-5 or taller, Law scored 21 points, including three straight baskets late in the game, to help the fifth-ranked Knights hold off Paraclete 88-82 in North Hills. ``He stepped up big time,'' Knights coach Bob Chevalier said. ``He has the capability to play like this.'' Said Law: ``I knew if I didn't come to play tonight, we weren't going to win.'' L.A. Baptist (11-1) fell behind 41-38 at halftime. The Knights struggled without guard Jermaine Sweet, who picked up his third foul less than two minutes into the second quarter. But Sweet returned in the second half, and the Knights' dynamic trio of Law, Sweet (19 points) and Aaron Davis Aaron Davis (born April 8, 1967 in Bronx,NY, United States) was a professional boxer in the welterweight (147lb) division.
