Kern Valley 28, Bell-Jeff 14: Justin Sulu rushed for 116 yards on 14 carries and scored a touchdown as Kern Valley (1-4) scored 14 unanswered points in the second half to defeat host Bell-Jeff of Burbank (3-3) at Burroughs High School in nonleague play.

Bell-Jeff tied the game at the half after Jorge Chaidez recovered an on-side kick at the Kern Valley 35-yard line. Following a 34-yard completetion from quarterback Daniel Radoccia to Chaidez, running back Eric Ruleas scored on a 1-yard run as time expired in the first half.
