It was a storybook ending for the El Camino Real High of Woodland Hills baseball team.

J.P. Hollywood drove in the go-ahead run with a line drive that bounced over Westlake center fielder Greg Sobczak, and El Camino Real pulled away for a 6-2 victory in eight innings in a Daily News Invitational game Thursday at Westlake High.

The victory, combined with a loss by previously undefeated Birmingham of Lake Balboa, clinched a return to the final for the defending tournament champion Conquistadores. El Camino Real will play Simi Valley on Saturday at USC.

After Hollywood provided the lead, Chad Greene blasted a three-run home run over the left-field fence to give El Camino Real (3-1) breathing room.

Then the Conquistadores turned to the relief pitching of Chad Boyd (2-0), who finished off Westlake (1-3) by retiring the side in order to end the game.

``We have four pitchers we can use in any situation,'' El Camino Real coach Matt La Cour said. ``Our pitching is keeping us going until our offense gets on track.''

In addition to his home run, Greene drove in another run with a double in the second inning and went 2 for 4 with four RBI.

Kyle Brockett got two of Westlake's four hits in the game with a double in the second inning and a single in the sixth. Michael Notaro (0-1), who allowed two hits through the first seven innings, took the loss.

--Cleveland 1, Harvard-Westlake 0: Adam Olbrychowski threw his second complete-game shutout in as many starts this season, finishing with eight strikeouts, and host Cleveland of Reseda (2-2) scored the game's lone run in the second inning.

However, the senior did struggle at times, walking six batters and getting in a bases-loaded jam twice. With the game on the line in the top of the seventh, with two outs, the 6-foot-2 right-hander struck out the final two batters of the game.

``He's a power pitcher,'' Cleveland coach Joe Cascione said. ``I've grown accustomed to him walking people, but he gets the out when it counts.''

--Malibu 13, Birmingham 4: Malibu (2-2) scored 10 consecutive runs in the fourth and fifth innings to turn a 2-1 deficit into a 10-2 lead in a game against host Birmingham of Lake Balboa (3-1).

Kyle Fisburn had four hits, including a double, and scored three runs for Malibu, which sent 11 batters to the plate during a six-run fifth inning.

Jeffrey Duff-Sellers and Daniel Williams each had two hits for Malibu, which had 11 hits total. Jason Pulkus reached based five times on four walks and after being hit by a pitch.

Jamie Van Soelen went five-plus innings in his first start for Malibu and retired Birmingham in order three times.

Birmingham committed four errors and four pitchers combined for seven walks, twice with the bases loaded. Juan Jauregui and Alex Gamez each had a double and scored a run for Birmingham.

--Notre Dame 10, Wilson 0: Robert Dickmann hit two home runs, a grand slam and a solo shot, and finished with five RBI as host Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks defeated Wilson of Los Angeles (1-3) in a six-inning mercy-rule game.

``We have a different guy step up every game, this time it was Dickmann,'' Notre Dame coach Tom Dill said. ``And those are signs of a good team.''

Tony De Martinez and Paul Michael Klinsberg combined for a nine- strikeout no-hitter, each pitching three innings for Notre Dame (3-1).

--St. John Bosco 6, Kennedy 3: Richard Mestas pitched six effective innings but tired in the seventh and gave up four runs on two singles and two walks as Kennedy of Granada Hills (2-2) lost at home.

Mestas had given up two runs on six hits before the seventh and even helped his own cause in the second inning when he tripled and scored to cut the St. John Bosco of Bellflower lead to 2-1.

Richard Cervantes had an RBI single in the third to tie the score at 2-2. Teammate Hector Sepulveda finished 2 for 3.

--Chaminade 6, Sylmar 0: Chaminade of West Hills (2-1-1) grabbed an early lead and was able to relax behind the arm of Chris Lopez in a victory over visiting Sylmar (1-3).

Lopez went the distance, recording 10 strikeouts and walking three. Teammate Chris Franco was 3 for 3 and hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning.

--Thousand Oaks 6, Verdugo Hills 1: Thousand Oaks' Travis Erikson held the visitors scoreless though six innings, giving up three hits and striking out eight to earn his second victory of the season.

--Alemany 10, Huntington Park 2: Brian Hernandez and Angelo Songco each hit home runs and finished with three hits for visiting Alemany of Mission Hills (2-2), which scored eight of its runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings.

--Grant 6, Highland 2: Baldemar Becerra pitched a two-hit complete game with eight strikeouts as Grant of Van Nuys defeated visiting Highland of Palmdale (2-2).

--Granada Hills 14, Antelope Valley 0: Jeff King pitched a complete-game one-hitter with seven strikeouts for host Granada Hills (2-2) in a game that was called in the fifth inning because of the mercy rule.

--L.A. Baptist 13, Marshall 1: Brad Rice (3 for 3, four RBI, two runs) and Mike Aragon (2 for 2, two RBI, two runs) each contributed to the 11-hit attack for host L.A. Baptist of North Hills (3-1) in a five-inning game.

--Oaks Christian 12, Van Nuys 2: Devin Shepherd homered, tripled and finished 2 for 3 with four RBI for host Oaks Christian of Westlake Village (3-1) in a five-inning game.

--Other games: Host La Canada scored five runs in the first two innings to distance itself from Eagle Rock in an 11-3 victory. .. rallied from a four-run deficit to defeat host Monroe of North Hills 9-5. ...

The Poly of Sun Valley pitching staff gave up 11 hits but held on for a 9-4 victory against visiting Montclair Prep of Panorama C it would not relinquish in an 11-1 victory over South Gate. ...
