 Club honored the winners of its annual middle school essay contest and their teachers at ceremonies May 20 at the Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. For the census-designated place in Wyoming, see Antelope Valley-Crestview, Wyoming.

The 2002 essay winners were Natalie Clark, a student in Steve Terao's class at New Vista Middle School; Ana Ortega, a student in Daniel Henderson's class at Park View Intermediate School; and Taylor Cenicola, a student in Mary Anne Nelson's class at Amargosa Creek Middle School.

``We are pleased to showcase the youth of our community in this way,'' said the club president, Diane Grooms. ``This is an annual tradition for our club, and this year's topic - 'What is the Truth?' - elicited e·lic·it

The three winners read their essays aloud. Then the girls and their teachers each received a plaque plaque (plak)
