ROTARY AUCTION ROLLS ON CLASSIC CAR TO BE SOLD FOR CHARITY.

LANCASTER - For sale for a good cause: 1966 Ford Thunderbird The Ford Thunderbird was a car manufactured in the United States by the Ford Motor Company. It entered production for the 1955 Ford Thunderbird model year as a two-seater sporty car but, unlike the similar Chevrolet Corvette, the Thunderbird was never sold as a full-blown sports , all original, original owner. Needs work.

``My parents were the original owners. They bought it brand new from the old Lancaster Ford (agency) on Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling ,'' said Rotary Club member Giovanni ``Gee'' Simi, whose mother, Pat Simi, is donating the car. ``I guess you call it the big-boat Thunderbird. It's got all the good stuff.''

``We have things that cost 50 cents all the way up to cars and motorcycles,'' Rotary Club President Diane Grooms said.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Park Plaza Convention Center on 10th Street West at Jackman St. in Lancaster.Cost is $50 a person and includes dinner.

Proceeds will go to organizations including the Antelope Valley Domestic Violence Council, Grace Resource Center, United Way, Special Olympics and the Antelope Valley Boys & Girls Club.

All the money will stay in the Antelope Valley, Grooms said.
