 ROSS SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF ALPHA AXP FINANCIAL,
 MANUFACTURING, DISTRIBUTION AND 4GL SOFTWARE
 REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Ross Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROSS) today announced the availability of its Renaissance Open Systems Series line of business solutions software for systems utilizing Digital Equipment Corporation's (NYSE: DEC) Alpha AXP architecture.
 Products immediately available from Ross under Open VMS include its PROMIX process manufacturing and distribution software, its Renaissance integrated financial and human resources series, and its GEMBASE 4GL.
 "Our migration team was impressed with the performance of the Alpha AXP systems, as well as the ease with which our products could be migrated," said Dennis V. Vohs, Ross Systems chairman and CEO. "As a Digital partner of long standing, we are pleased that Digital has brought to market such a winning architecture."
 Alpha AXP is Digital's 64-bit RISC computing architecture, designed to support fast, uniprocessor and multiprocessor implementations that are scalable from palmtop to supercomputer. The architecture is designed to endure over the next 25 years. The Alpha AXP architecture supports multiple operating systems -- including Open VMS, DEC OSF/1, and Windows NT -- to provide a breadth of applications to a broad range of markets.
