    Peter Edward "Pete" Rose, Sr. (born April 14, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio), nicknamed Charlie Hustle, is a former player and manager in Major League Baseball. Rose played from 1963 to 1986, best known for his many years with the Cincinnati Reds.
     didn't look like the hit king on Tuesday at Dodgertown. He wore blue sweats, a white, long-sleeved shirt and a Dodgers promotional cap.

    But fans knew him. A crowd flocked around as he watched his son, Pete Jr., play in an intrasquad game. They wished him well and brought him anything they could find to be autographed.

    And while baseball has banished Rose, he hasn't banished baseball.
