ROSE BOWL SEEKS MAJOR CHANGE.

Byline: Janette Williams Staff Writer

PASADENA - With the Rose Bowl operating in the black for the first time in years, stadium officials will ask the City Council on Monday Monday: see week.  to allow them to hold up to 20 major events a year.

The council will also be asked to change the definition of a major event to one attended by at least 30,000 people, up from the present 20,000.

At present, the Rose Bowl must receive City Council approval for each major event beyond 12 annually. Most years only 11 to 15 major events are held at the Rose Bowl.

Rose Bowl General Manager Darryl Darryl is a common English name from Old English and Old French origin, generally used for males, but also can be the name of a female. It was used since the time of the Norman Saxon invasion of England.  Dunn Dunn may refer to:

``We believe going to the City Council and asking for waivers is difficult from everyone's standpoint The Standpoint is a newspaper published in the British Virgin Islands. It was originally published under the name Pennysaver, largely as a shopping-coupon promotional newspaper, but since emerged as one of the most influential sources of journalism in the ,'' Dunn said.

The only year 20 major events were held at the Rose Bowl was 1994-95, and most of those were part of soccer's World Cup, Dunn said.

Lee Zanteson, former president of the Linda Vista/Annandale Association and a member of the Central Arroyo Master Plan advisory committee, opposes the stadium's plan.

``Like it or not, the Rose Bowl is part of a heavily used park,'' he said.
