ROPE-A-SAURUS.


You need: Two more kids Plastic or plush dinosaur dinosaur (dī`nəsôr) [Gr., = terrible lizard], extinct land reptile of the Mesozoic era. The dinosaurs, which were egg-laying animals, ranged in length from 2 1-2 ft (91 cm) to about 127 ft (39 m).  (Any plush animal will do.) Plastic lid from a large container

Ten feet of string

1. Ask a grown-up grown-up

 to cut out the center of the lid.

2. Tie one end of the string to the lid. This is your lasso lasso (lăs`ō, lăs`), light, strong rope, usually with a smooth, hard finish, made of a fine quality of hemp or nylon. .

3. Stand your dinosaur on the ground. Take five steps back.

4. Hold the string in one hand and try to toss the ring over the dinosaur's head. You get three chances.

5. If you rope your dinosaur, take one step backward and try again. Keep playing until you miss. Then give the lasso to the next kid.

The kid who ropes the dinosaur from the farthest distance wins!

Pony-Making Instruction

1. Cut out the corral corral
