Byline: Sylvia L. Oliande Staff Writer

BURBANK - Animator Butch Hartman Butch Hartman (Born January 10 1965, Highland Park, Michigan) is an animator, creator of The Fairly Odd Parents, Crimson Chin, Crash Nebula, and Danny Phantom.  had no sooner finished drawing his sixth penguin Thursday when he learned he'd have to start working on several evil hunters to illustrate the children's book ``Tacky the Penguin,'' which was being read aloud by cartoon writer Steve Marmel Steve Marmel is the writer and producer of various tv-series, among which The Fairly Odd Parents, I am Weasel, Danny Phantom and Yin Yang Yo!. .

But the exasperated Hartman had his audience at George Washington Elementary School Several Elementary Schools, most named after George Washington, first president of the United States, have the name Washington Elementary School' including:

 in stitches.

The second-graders giggled every time Marmel - Hartman's partner in Nickelodeon's animated ``The Fairly Oddparents'' - had to stop reading the book so Hartman could catch up with his illustrations.

``The next story has one character,'' Hartman said, to the children's delight.

``The next story will be, 'The Penguin Who Stood Around a Lot,' '' Marmel joked.

Marmel and Hartman were the first employees from Nickelodeon Animation Studio Animation studio can refer to:

who plan to make weekly visits to Washington Elementary, where they will read and illustrate a story in the school's new reading room.

Built into a corner of the library, the reading room features a wall-length dry-erase board and pillows on the carpeted floor, setting the tone for reading and creativity.

``When you make it comfortable, cozy See COSE.  and fun, I think children feel more open to a book and what it means,'' Principal Joan Baca said. ``You let them put their feet up instead of sitting in a chair at a table.''

Nickelodeon Animation Studios moved its new headquarters on Olive Avenue four years ago and adopted Washington school Many schools are named Washington School including:
