RONSON MAKES BRIT CELEBRATION PLANS

Producer MARK RONSON has invited his parents along to Wednesday's (20Feb08) Brit Awards in London - in a bid to portray himself as a sensible, family man.

The 32-year-old Grammy-winner has been nominated for Best Male, Best Album and Single Of The Year at the prestigious event - but has made cunning plans to save his reputation if celebrations get out of hand.

Ronson is bringing his parents to the ceremony in an effort to fool the media into thinking he is a "nice boy".

He says, "I call it the Justin Timberlake Phenomenon. At award shows, you can be caught doing all sorts but if you were seen with your mum earlier you can get away with it. They'll be like, 'Oh, he's a nice boy he takes his mum to the awards.'"
