RONALD B. CURTIS NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES FOR KUBOTA PACIFIC COMPUTER INC.

 SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Ronald B. Curtis has been named vice president of North American sales and member of the executive staff of Kubota Pacific Computer Inc., a leading high- performance 3D graphics and image processing subsystem manufacturer, the company announced today.
 Curtis will be responsible for managing and growing the company's North American sales effort, employing a sales strategy that will focus on both direct and indirect distribution channels. Curtis will continue the rapid expansion of Kubota Pacific's presence in the mechanical computer-aided engineering (MCAD), visual simulation and imaging markets.
 Curtis was previously with Philips LMS as vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. At Philips LMS, a $130-million optical and mass storage division of Dutch-owned Philips Electronic NV, Curtis reorganized and directed the company's sales and service organizations, resulting in a 137-percent increase in revenues from 1991 to 1993. Prior to Philips, Curtis worked for eight years at SUN Microsystems. As director of strategic accounts at SUN, he managed an organization which assisted in contributing over $254 million in annual revenues, and was a key player on the team which helped negotiate the largest end-user contract in the company's history.
