Ron Hornaday Ron Hornaday, Jr. (born in Palmdale, California on June 20, 1958) is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver. He is the father of former NASCAR driver Ronnie Hornaday, and the son of Ron Hornaday, Sr., a two time Winston West Champion.  Jr. posted a respectable 12th-place finish at Kansas Speedway Kansas Speedway is a speedway in Kansas City, in the U.S. state of Kansas. The speedway is a 1.5 mile tri-oval with 15 degree banking in the turns. The track held its first race on on June 2, 2001, when the Winston West came and raced in the Kansas 100.  last Saturday and maintained his position in the NASCAR NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing), organization that sanctions American stock-car races, est. 1948. It held its first race in Daytona Beach, Fla.  Craftsman Truck Series standings.

He will look to move past rival Jack Sprague Jack Sprague (born August 8, 1964, in Spring Lake, Michigan) is a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver. He drives the #60 Con-way Freight Toyota for Wyler Racing. He has finished in the top-ten in the points standings almost every year he has raced in the trucks, and currently  as the series heads to Kentucky Speedway for today's race.

``Kentucky is one of my all-time favorite places to race at,'' said Hornaday. ``I have never won at Kentucky, and this will only be my second time racing here in the trucks. Last year we were able to leave Kentucky with a top-15 finish, but I'm hoping to pull off a win with the Kevin Harvick For the racing team owned by Kevin Harvick and his wife Delana, see .

Hornaday started 21st in the Kansas Speedway race and moved his way through the field. He said his team made a mistake on one of his pit stops and it cost him in the race.

``We fell back, and the handling went away,'' said Hornaday, a former Saugus Speedway champ from Palmdale. ``We had a truck that would run 25 to 30 laps, and then we just came in too early for tires, and we thought we could run 60 laps on tires and that just didn't work.''

Terry Cook won the Kansas Speedway race, his first of the season. With the win, Cook moved up to sixth in points in the Truck Series standings. Hornaday is 10th in points, 18 behind Jack Sprague.

``All in all, a good day, we know we can run with these guys, we just need to run the whole run on tires,'' Hornaday said. ``We are gaining on them with our Silverado, and we'll figure it out.''

Todd Bodine Todd Bodine (born February 27, 1964 in Chemung, New York) is a stock car racer. Todd is the younger brother of former racers Geoff Bodine and Brett Bodine. Bodine won the 2006 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship while driving the #30 Lumber Liquidators/Germain Toyota.  leads the Truck Series with 1,909 points, 138 ahead of second-place David Reutimann David Reutimann (born March 2, 1970, in Zephyrhills, FL) is a NASCAR driver. He drives the #00 Dominos Pizza/Burger King Toyota Camry for Michael Waltrip Racing in the NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and the #99 Aaron's Toyota Camry in the Busch Series. .

It was Cook's first win since Aug. 2, 2002, at O'Reilly Raceway Park Raceway Park (1938–2000) was 1/4 mile stock car race track located in Blue Island, Illinois, on 130th Street between Western Avenue and Halsted Avenue, used for stock car races from the mid 1930's until the year 2000.  in Indianapolis and ended the third-longest drought -- a span of 94 races -- between wins in series history.

Rick Crawford holds the record of starts between wins. His streak lasted 120 races. He won the race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on April 4, 1998, and didn't win again until Feb. 15, 2003, at Daytona International Speedway Daytona International Speedway is a superspeedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is a 2.5 mile (4 km) tri-oval race track facility with a seating capacity of 168,000 spectators. .

Hornaday has 28 career wins in the Truck Series, the most of any driver, but none at Kentucky Speedway.

``This part of the year is crucial,'' Hornaday said. ``And bringing home top-10s and especially top-fives is what we are looking to do.''

Only two drivers, Dennis Setzer and Mike Bliss, entered in today's race have won previously at Kentucky Speedway. Setzer is the defending race champion.

Bliss beat Setzer in the 2002 race at Kentucky Speedway by 18.197 seconds, the largest margin of victory in series history.

Bill Lester holds the qualifying record at Kentucky, which he set in last year's race.

Irwindale Speedway: Todd Southwell and Rod Johnson are battling for fifth place in the NASCAR Super Late Model standings at Irwindale Speedway.

Southwell, a Canyon High graduate, is fifth in points. He has a four-point lead over Johnson, who lives in Canyon Country, as the Super Late Models return to the track tonight.

Both are trailing series leader Van Knill of Tucson, Ariz., who has a one-point lead over Dan Moore of Burbank.

The NASCAR Super Trucks, Mini Stocks, Legend Cars and Figure 8s are also scheduled to race tonight at Irwindale Speedway.

Ron Peterson of Riverside has won seven straight races in the Super Trucks class and 10 straight overall dating back to last season.

Pat Mintey Jr. of Quartz Hill is a distant second in points in the Super Trucks division. Rookie Brian Reed of Castaic in sixth.
