Rohrabacher, who faced removal from the post under the Republican leadership's self-imposed, three-term limit on chairmanships, was granted a one-term waiver in the wake of the Columbia tragedy. ``I had been thinking of trying to stay on, but this disaster convinced me,'' Rohrabacher said. ``We need to find out what caused the Columbia disaster.
