ROHR INDUSTIRES NAMES JOHN F. WALSH DIRECTOR, CORPORATE RELATIONS

    CHULA VISTA, Calif., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Rohr Industries Inc. (NYSE: RHR) has named John F. Walsh as director, corporate relations.
    He will assume responsibility for corporate public affairs in addition to his current function, Market Planning & Proposals, with a principal focus on shareholder and market analyst relations, as well as press and community relations.
    A graduate of Manhattan College, Columbia University and UCLA, he holds master's degrees in engineering and business administration. He has been employed at Rohr in various marketing and planning functions for 18 years.
    Walsh is a member of the Executive Council for Air Transportation Research International Forum (ATRIF) and is past president of that organization.  He is also a member of the AIA International Council, the Air Transportation Technical Committee of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and is a member of the Committee on Aviation Economics and Forecasting for the Transportation Research Board.
    Rohr provides technologically advanced aircraft engine nacelle systems, thrust reversers, pylons, noise suppression systems and engine components for commercial, military and business aircraft. The company also manufactures solid rocket motor casings and nozzles for space programs.
    Headquartered in Chula Vista, Rohr has nine facilities in the United States and one in Toulouse, France.
